ABC Birth Academy is a professional online training platform dedicated to preparing the next generation of compassionate, culturally responsive birth workers. We blend evidence-based clinical education with deep cultural competency training so that every graduate is ready to support families through pregnancy, labor, birth, and the postpartum period with confidence and care.
The ABC Birth Academy platform is a complete online learning environment for aspiring and practicing doulas. Students work through 23 comprehensive course modules spanning anatomy and physiology, labor support techniques, hospital, birth center, and home birth support, cultural competency, communication skills, postpartum care, lactation basics, and professional business development. Learning is interactive and hands-on: immersive VR simulations, 3D anatomy models, interactive labor scenarios, weekly live workshops and Q&A sessions, personalized one-on-one coaching, a community forum, and an AI-powered study search all keep students engaged. Beyond the core certification, we offer a premium six-month Professional Mentorship Program and a standalone Certified Placenta Encapsulation Specialist certification, giving birth workers multiple pathways to grow their practice and better serve their communities.
Our programs are designed for aspiring doulas, midwife assistants, and birth workers at every stage of their journey, from those just beginning to explore birth work to certified professionals seeking to deepen their skills or add new services. We place a special emphasis on supporting Black, Indigenous, and families of color, and on training birth workers who understand the unique challenges these communities face and can provide real, culturally grounded solutions.
